A new opposition party, the Zimbabwe Partnership for Prosperity (ZIPP), has been launched, with its South African based leaders vowing to unseat President Robert Mugabe in the 2018 elections.

ZIPP leader, Blessing Kasiyamhuru said the new party that was launched in Bulawayo draws most of its membership from S.A based professionals, is ready to contest next year’s elections.

“We are rightly positioned to take the relay button from our elders whom we perceive will not refuse to hand-over power on our 2018 victory due to the irresistible African ideology we have. Victory is certain,” Kasiyamhuru told journalists at the Bulawayo Press Club.

According to Kasiyamhuru, the ZIPP was initially launched in S.A last month but conceived in 2008.

“ZIPP despite having been conceived in 2008, it remained in the laboratory of creating solutions and resisted the temptation to participate in the elections for the sake of participation.

“Our decade long assignment to proffer solutions to the economic crisis, to transform political liberation into economic freedom is now completed and we have answered the generational obligation and mandate to deliver on the specific necessities of this dispensation,” Kasiyamhuru added.
