President Mugabe leaves Zimbabwe again

 Zimbabwe’s  President Robert Mugabe has left the country for Morocco.  President Robert Mugabe is due to to attend the COP 22 summit in Marrakesh.

He was seen off at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, Defence Minister Cde Sydney Sekeramayi several other  senior government officials and service chiefs. Mugabe is travelling with  Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Environment, Water and Climate Minister Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri and Presidential spokesperson Mr George Charamba.

The COP 22 meeting kicked off in Marrakesh on the 7th of November and delegations of international leaders, organisations and advisers are deliberating on how to implement a global climate agreement. President Mugabe is now developing a habit of flying out of the country every month.

Sometimes to events where he is not even needed.

This comes at a time when there are expectations in his party and the country that he will retire soon and handover power to a younger leader.
