Themba Mliswa Proposes to Kasukuwere
Recently elected Norton Member of Parliament, Themba Mliswa is reported to have proposed to Local Government Public Works and National Housing Minister Saviour Kasukuwere that the multi-million dollar civil lawsuit be settled of court
Kasukuwere’s attoney , Mudzi South MP and Harare lawyer ,Jonathan Samkange revealed that after the court proceedings before High Court Judge , Justice David Mangota on Wednesday the 16th of November , Mliswa had approached him ,expressing willingness to settle the US$20 million lawsuit filed Kasukuwere out of court.
The former fitness trainer and rugby coach was slapped with the lawsuit after he had labeled both Kasukuwere and Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology minister Professor Jonathan Moyo as gay gangsters thus insinuating that they were homosexuals
The outspoken former Hurungwe West MP also accused the duo alongside President Robert Mugabe’s nephew and Youth , Indigenisation and Economic Development Minister Patrick Zhuwao of being on the payroll of United States of America’s Central Intelligence, CIA, to destroy Zanu Pf from within
He said Mliswa’s view was that the matter is too personal and not in the interest of either party as it does not advance anyone’s political interests and he had hinted that if the minister were amenable then a withdrawal would in order. Samkange added that he was still to get instructions from Kasukuwere over the proposal by Mliswa and said there was no monetary offer put to the table or any terms.
Professor Moyo who is also represented by Samkange in another US $20 million lawsuit against Mliswa for the same charges will have his matter heard on the 25th of November 2016
There is no love lost between the duo as Mliswa has threatened to effect a citizen’s arrest on Moyo and Kasukuwere for their alleged corrupt activities.
Moyo is accused of misappropriating funds under the Zimbabwe Manpower Development Fund, while Kasukuwere is accused of fraudulently allocating large pieces of land meant for ZANU-PF youths to his relatives, friends and political surrogates.
Both ministers deny those allegations claiming undue persecution by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission , ZACC.
